Our assignment was to enhance the market presence of a well-established brand by introducing an innovative product. The objective was to identify a product that addressed a gap in their offerings or positioned them uniquely against competitors. In selecting Sun Bum as our brand, our focus was on augmenting their product diversity through the introduction of a self-tanning product.

Assuming the role of the creative strategist, my responsibility was to visually actualize this concept across various design platforms, including product design, media presentations, and print materials. My strategic approach aimed to seamlessly integrate the new self-tanning product into Sun Bum's existing brand identity, ensuring a cohesive and compelling visual narrative across all communication channels. This endeavor required a mature and nuanced understanding of design principles and branding strategies to effectively elevate the brand's portfolio.

Upon examining Sun Bum's position in the product space, we were determined not to merely duplicate existing offerings. In essence, we aimed to avoid introducing just another generic sunscreen with a different aesthetic.This strategic decision prompted exploration into the self-tanning industry. The rationale behind this move was rooted in the seamless integration of a self-tanning product into a sunscreen company's product line, without causing disruption to their current offerings.
Our underlying conviction was that a sunscreen company dedicated to safeguarding individuals from harmful UV rays might also be inclined to provide an alternative means for achieving a sun-kissed glow. This line of thinking culminated in the creation of Sunless Bum.

Our comprehensive marketing strategy for this product stems from the vision of appealing to individuals seeking a perennial sun-kissed aesthetic. The synergy of our Sunless Tan product with any of Sun Bums premium sunscreen offerings empowers consumers to uphold the allure of their skin, ensuring both safety and a consistently healthy appearance throughout the year. This is encapsulated in our campaign tagline, KYSS, signifying that our Sunless Tan is the key to "Keeping Your Skin Safe" while maintaining that coveted sun-kissed glow.
In introducing this new product to Sun Bum's lineup, our strategy involves generating substantial hype prior to the launch. This entails conducting giveaways and establishing influencer partnerships to create anticipation and virality surrounding the product well in advance of its market entry.

The strategy for the product launch was to create a series of giveaways for Sun Bum on Instagram, dropping hints before a product launch. The first 20 right guesses on each post got free Sunless Bum products. Another challenge was a video contest on TikTok, where people shared why they trust the bum using the hashtag "WhyTrustTheBum," creating user-generated content and building a community on Sun Bum's official pages..
